The More, the Merrier? - Activity 1 Day 3

Hello, blogging world. Today is day 3 of the summer learning journey. I am so happy I made it through 3 days! In the 1800s most families were very big. It is very normal that the parents would have Seven to Nine Children, imagine having 8 or 6 siblings your house would be really messy. Today activity is we have to imagine we have nine siblings in the 1800s. I wouldn't even make a day. Here is some reason why I would like to have a big family but not at the same time.

1. Having a big family would mean you won't get your own room plus, you would be sharing with at least 2 other people. In my house, you would have to share. 3/4 rooms would have two people in it but the 1/4 room would have 3 that is crazy!

2.As having a big family would be a lot arguing but from that you would have a couple of friends to live through each day.

3. My parents would not be able to handle it.

4. If some of your siblings are a year behind you they could be in the same class as you!

  1. Kia ora Lily,

I had fun reading your post about why you would not like to have a big family. The plus side to having a sibling in the same class as you is that you will get the same homework so you could help each other. This reminds me of my cousins who are quad-triplets and were all in the same classes at school. One quad was usually better at a certain subject and could help the others.

My sister, Amber, is 10 years younger than me and we have an awesome relationship. However I think it would be awesome fun to have a large family with siblings closer to my age. Although, I have to agree with you, I don't think my parents would handle having 10 children either.

    Have a lovely day,
    Megan :)

    1. Hello Megan,

Thank you for the awesome comment. I didn't think of the homework part I wish I did, and you are right about it being fun having a big family its just I can barley handle a younger sister. Have a great start to 2018,

      Lily
