VE Day!/ Week 2

Image result for party!Hello Blogging World, today is all about VE day! VE day (Victory in Europe) is all about the victory of winning world war two. Partys were thrown all over New Zealand. Imagine you were hosting one of these party. Who you invite? What would you do?

That is what today's activity is! Here is Mine.

I would invite all my closest family and friends to my house. We would have planned out fun and awesome games that both parents and kids can play. For the food, my dad would make an awesome BBQ and to make it extra he would make turducken (A Chicken stuffed in a duck stuffed in a turkey.) Plus my mum and her friends and mum would create a big amount of desserts. After dessert, we would go down to the beach and watch the sunset and after that, we would have a campfire.

  1. Kia ora Lily,

This sounds like it would be the party of the year. Wow, A turducken? That is the best thing I have ever heard of. Has your Dad made this for your family before? If I was to plan a party I would also organise a bomb fire and ask my Mum to make her crowd favourite bread dish. This is where she mixes cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, mustard, and then bakes it in the bread until its golden and crispy. Mmmm-mmmm. What dessert that your Mum makes is your favourite?

Thank for another awesome post Lily. I look forward to reading more from you.

    Have an awesome weekend,
    Megan

    1. Hello Megan,

Thank you for the awesome blog comment. My dad has made it for the family before it took him a week thoguh, he made it for christmas because last year all my family (EVen from overseas) came and he wanted to make it big.

Your mums dish sounds delicious I would love to try it. My mums favorite desert is probably her ambrosia (Yogert with cream and has lots of fruit and lollies mixed into it) it was originally my mums friends recipe she uses but she asked as Christmas was coming up (2017).

Have an awesome start to 2018,
      Liy

  2. Hey Lily,

Wow, your Dad sounds like he put in a lot of effort to the turducken. I am still amazed by this incredible creation. My Dad is always up for a challenge in the kitchen so I may have to alert him to this dish. It sounds like you had an awesome Christmas, especially as your family was visiting from overseas. I also had a lot of family from overseas so my Dad put on a big lunch for everybody.

I hope you have an awesome day today Lily,
    Megan :)
