Setting Sails/ Day 1 Of The Summer Journey

Dear Amie,
The nights are horrible and cold but it won't stop me from trying to get to this small country called New Zealand. I have been running out of food but then recently I found a container of bait and a fishing rod, since then every day I have been fishing and stirring the waka. I am super excited to find my self in New Zealand because I have never been to another country but I am sure I will be interested in the surroundings and to see the people. The ride is bumpy but I will make it.

... Anyways Amie,
How is your trip scary, fun, are you already there. Send me a letter, please! (Click her name)

Hello blogging world, I know this is a weird layout for the blog today but I wanted it to be different anyway, in this activity, we had to create a little to our friend that would describe A boat trip to New Zealand on a Waka! Amie is one of my friend who is also doing this you should go see her blog with her letter. Thank you, everybody, for reading this blog post. If you would like to see more of my work scroll down. Please feel free to my next blog post until then... Bye!

  1. Hey Lily,

I love how you and Amie have created a letter to each other and included a link to her blog. This is an awesome way to interact while participating on the Summer Learning Journey. Your letter is very descriptive and well written. I really like how you got creative and started fishing for food, what an amazing idea. Have you thought about what New Zealand would look like in the 1800's and whether it will look any different than the country you are travelling from?

Keep up the awesome work Lily,
    Megan

    1. Thank you for the Comment!
In the 1800s it would be a lot different no roads, different clothes and the style of the buildings would have changed.
