Hello, blogging world. It is day 4 and today is all about music. Today we had to find a Waiata online and show why we liked it. I looked through many but the first one I saw was awesome it was called... Taku Rākau, Haramai a Paoa. It was so lovely and nice because both male and female had to perform the song and the video was performed in a crowd of people. Here is my song.
As I said before the song is nice and lovely. The song is about going to war,m fighting to save this country and being confident. These peoples voices are so nice together it looked like they practiced a lot. I also found another one which sounds great it is recorded in someone house and it sounds as good as the Female and Males. Here is the Link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKpPRWa4rQA . The song is very bold and gentle at the same time.

ReplyDeleteWow, you have chosen a beautiful and striking waiata to share with us. I think you are right as this waiata sounds good with both male and female voices. Woman didn't tend to fight in war but were still known to sing this waiata. When do you think the woman would have sung this in its traditional form? Maybe next next you could share the lyrics with us so that we can understand the waiata in more detail.
