Helping Hands/ Week 2

Hello, blogging world. Guess what I am back from holiday!
During this period of time (Where New Zealand had loss of money and jobs) people found it hard to find jobs in New Zealand and overseas. We were not the only people who were stressed and dealing with trouble. People living in the Great Plains in the USA, because they were hit with a giant drought which lasted most of the decade. Many farmers could not plant crops so they could give the food to their families, friends and would not be making any money.

Today's activity we have to imagine we were living in this period of stress and think, what would we do to help people and the families. We have to name three, so here is my three!
  1. To stop the people from suffering from the drought I would have so people who could work for me (People that were jobless) and bring over food to local community places to hand out. I would also lend money to the farmers.
  2. Another thing I would do is organise a fun run so people would donate and run for my charity for New Zealand jobless people called “Job Hut”.
  3. I would also try to influence people/ bosses to hand out more jobs to people, even if it was low paying.

Dealing With Stress/ Week 2

Hello Blogging World, Today Activity is all about stress! I know stress is super bad but everybody has it. In New Zealand, many people had been losing their jobs for a period of time, Sadly. The expert thinks that 30% of the population were unemployed.  It was a stressful time for families.

Image result for Relax!For today's activity, we have to describe how we relax and wind down, a place to get away from the stress. For me, I hang with people I love and trust. I like to watch tv because on tv all you think about is the thing that is happening on the Tv. I also like playing video games like sims, Roblox and Minecraft. I like to play Roblox with my sister but sometimes she gets stressed playing it.

Art Deco/ Week 2

Hello Blogging World. This is all about art. I do enjoy art but my friend Amie Click here for the blog. Is super job at art. She got the award for it too! Today activity is all about the early ages of art. In the 1920s A movement of Artist was formed in Nz. (And around the world). It was becoming something big. Today we have to look at the photo (On the right) and show what we think of it?

We also Need to give it a rating out of 5.
5= Amazing
4= Its Good
3 = Its Okay, I guess
2 = Its Pretty Bad ;-;
1 = It is Horrible
I really like the colours and how detailed it looks awesome. The photo to me reminds me of a girl, going to a big party, looking in her car. It looks like it was made in the 1900s but has that modern look to it. I would rate it a 4 as it looks realistic, but looks cartoony at the same time, which is good. I also think it is pretty good because I want to see a little more of the car and I think the artist made the scarf longer as he/she did not want to make it super detail.

The Roaring 20s

Hello blogging world, today's activity is all the first movies in New Zealand. In the movies, they would be silent and in black’ n white. You would have to know what was going on with the acting, so they would have to be good at acting. Today we have to pretend we are making a silent film, what would you need to think about when writing the script and filming it and tell if we would enjoy watching a silent movie. But I do have one question… Why couldn’t they record the voices but could record the movements, I feel like the audio would be easier to build?

In my script, I don't think it would be long as I would only need to write what happening, Problem, Solution, the scenes and when the character needs to act out something. When I would be filming it, it would be no point making all the props colourful as it would be in black and white. I feel I would also be yelling a lot because the people might do good acting but not good enough for the viewers to understand what is happening. I think I would not enjoy a silent movie as I would never understand what would be happening. Also, I just don't think they would be good quality

In Flander Field/ Week 2

Hello, blogging world. Today for the bonus Activity it's all about the Poem Flanders field. We have to describe why we like it, how it made us feel things like that. New Zealand settled into a period of relative calm. The calm lasted for 15 years until it was interrupted by world war one. The war lasted for almost 5 years and killed 18,000 New Zealand. With the 17 billion men and woman. The Poem Flanders Field is attributed to the many men and women who fought for our freedom. My school has an ANZAC day every year and 2 students whose relatives fought for our freedom. Here is the poem.

In Flanders fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
   That mark our place; and in the sky
   The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
   Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
       In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
   The torch; be yours to hold it high.
   If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
       In Flanders fields

I really enjoy this poem because it is all about the people who fought for us and the words make the poem sound respectful and cool at the same time. This poem makes me feel happy that the world is basically now in a peace.

The right to vote/ Week 2

Hello, blogging world. As I said today I am trying to do a lot of blog post in a row and it is gonna be so fun! I am doing the offline activity for this one so it is a little different compared to the website. Today's activity is all about voting. Now recently New Zealand has welcomed their New Primastar Jacinda Ardern! She is in the party labour and she has been running the country Amazingly.  As the years past by New Zealand finally elected their first Minister Richard John Seddon from the Liberal Party. He ran for 13 years (1893 - 1906.) At the time of this only men could vote before a woman named Kate Sheppard made a point that woman should have the ability to vote in the late 1800s. Her hard work finally pulled off when it was accepted on 19th September 1893. Did you know New Zealand was the first country ever to allow every single woman to vote? Crazy right! To be more pacific about the activity we have to think about the fact of why the woman in Saudi Arabia wasn’t allowed to vote until 2015. Is it fair? Why or why not?

I think that is unfair as every human being should be able to vote because what if they didn’t like the prime minister and then they were stuck with them. Everyone is independent and only men get to say “Hey I want to vote this person!” The woman must be so jealous and at times they just want to run away from when they hear voting. Then again I think some men would have cared for their wife and asked “Love, who do you think I should vote for.” Or the country was fine with it and didn’t really care.
